 Parking Scotland Conference 2021

3 and 4 March 2021

This programme is insightful and engaging as well as offering some guidance and advice in this uncertain time. .
The event, our second virtual conference, brought together professionals from across the parking sector for two days of thought-provoking content.

A very interesting set of sessions with a good balance of public and private sector perspectives on topical issues and emerging trends

Mark Moran, Landor

A review of the Parking Scotland Expo 2019 - A Grand Affair

With more attendees and exhibitors than ever before the 2019 Parking Scotland Expo was our best Expo to date. With engaging presentations addressing Workplace Parking Levy, Hospital Parking, Blue Badge eligibility and what can be done about untaxed vehicles in Scotland it certainly encouraged delegates to think about the bigger picture what we can do better.

After a warm welcome from BPA President John McArdle and Heather Grieves from Gold Sponsor NSL, delegates were raring to engage flooding Slido with thought-provoking questions. Many of the speakers challenged delegates to think about parking in a new way, looking at technology and how that can help as well as ways legislation can be used. One of the highlights of the day was having 3 speakers from Transport Scotland updating everyone on the progress of some key government initiatives.

Robert Shoebridge from Derby Council ended the day with a key piece of advice: 'Challenge, challenge, and challenge again. We don't have a bottomless pit of money but we do have a bottomless pit of opportunities.'

This year's expo most certainly showcased many of these opportunities. A massive thank you to our 2019 sponsors, NSL and Debt Recovery Plus.

Join us next year where we will continue to ask questions looking to work to together to maximise all opportunities.  The expo will 10 September at the Radisson Blu in Glasgow.
