The British Parking Association is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Investors in People (IIP) silver accreditation. The award follows regular meetings between BPA staff members and an IIP assessor from Inspiring Business Performance (IBP) South. Through this accreditation, the IIP Board has recognised the BPA’s success as a high-achiever and business-leader, noting its exceptional performance in people management, leadership and development.

Investors in People silver accreditation acknowledges that the BPA has been awarded one of the highest levels of accreditation within the Investors in People framework. The IIP standard is made up of four levels and is assessed against 196 evidence requirements. Having met the recognised core standard of 39 evidence requirements, the BPA has achieved a further 76 requirements, or 115 in total. In doing so, we have leap-frogged the bronze award at the first attempt, securing the coveted silver award.

The IIP assessment framework covers the following areas:

  • business strategy;
  • learning and development strategy;
  • people management strategy;
  • leadership and management strategy;
  • management effectiveness;
  • recognition and reward;
  • involvement and empowerment;
  • learning and development;
  • performance measurement;
  • and continuous improvement.

The BPA is justifiably proud of this achievement, and we are committed not only to maintaining the silver standard, but to exceeding it in the future.
