BPA terminates membership of Elite Management (Midlands) Limited

The British Parking Association (BPA) has terminated the membership of Elite Management (Midlands) Limited with immediate effect.

Following investigations arising from complaints by motorists we have identified and confirm multiple non-compliances with our Code of Practice for the Approved Operators Scheme. These include misuse of data and failure to run a fair and professional operation. We have awarded 15 Sanction Points in accordance with our Scheme of Sanctions.

When an Approved Operator receives 12 or more Sanction Points in a 12-month period, the operator is referred to our Professional Conduct and Scrutiny Panel.  In this case the Panel concluded that the membership of Elite Management (Midlands) Limited should be terminated.  This termination also ceases their membership of a DVLA Accredited Trade Association.

Standards for professional conduct and members’ responsibilities to promote the profession in the best possible manner at all times are set out in our Code of Professional Conduct. It is a very important statement of what it means to be part of our not-for-profit association and the high levels of professionalism that are required of all members. We are committed to raising standards in the management of parking on private land and our Code of Practice is continuously improved through consultation with key stakeholders, including consumer groups and government. We have now expelled eight operators who have failed to comply with our Code of Practice.
