Recognition and Status

The British Parking Association is the leading membership association in parking. Your individual membership demonstrates your alignment with our aims and vision for the parking profession. Post-nominals indicate your membership grade to peers and employers, reflecting your qualification level and your CPD progress.

Fellows of the BPA reach the pinnacle of the individual membership structure and are widely respected throughout the parking profession. Fellows are appointed by a peer review panel. More details can be found here.



Continuous Professional Development (CPD)

We offer a simple facility to manage your CPD where you can plan and record your continuous professional development. Use our website materials to help you accurately record activities, achieve your goals and plan your development for future years. This will help you to navigate your way through the opportunities that are available and to understand how you can accumulate CPD.

You can gain access to the BPA's parking practice notes - available in the BPA Library - which feature advice on a number of topics, including conflict management, data protection, observation and grace periods and the use of digital cameras.

As an individual member, you can keep up-to-date with publications available to individual members:

  • Parking News is our monthly magazine. Past issues can be viewed online here.
  • Our individual member e-newsletters will provide you with all the latest news, announcements and information on job opportunities.  


Networking opportunities

As an individual member*, you can attend a number of meetings and events, such as our many Regional and Interest Group meetings, members’ dinner and the annual Parkex exhibition, which all offer excellent networking opportunities. As the biggest dedicated parking exhibition in the world, Parkex is the BPA’s largest event, attracting thousands of professionals in parking.

 *Individual members whose employers hold current Corporate membership of the BPA are entitled to attend regional and interest group meetings. The BPA has discretion to allow other individual members who are not employed by a Corporate member to attend regional or interest group meetings upon request. Requests should be sent to
