The situation regarding Coronavirus is changing daily and we continue to follow government advice closely.

We have decided to cancel all of our meetings and events until the end of June including Parkex We will have further updates for you regarding events and meetings currently scheduled beyond the end of June as soon as we are able to confirm.

Government advice

Read the latest  advice on Staying Alert and Safe (Social Distancing). This advice applies in England – people in ScotlandWales and Northern Ireland should follow the specific rules in those parts of the UK.

Free parking for NHS staff and new website

A new website enables NHS staff, health and social care workers and NHS volunteers (critical care workers) to find free parking locations quickly and easily, supporting government’s COVID 19 free parking scheme for critical workers.  The new site is a joint collaboration between the BPA and our members ParkopediaYourParkingSpace and JustPark and supported by the wider parking community.  

How to ensure your car park is listed

If you would like your car parks to be listed on this site you can do this by providing some information and emailing the support team: support.uk@parkopedia.com

For car parks already listed on Parkopedia please provide:

  • Longitude and latitude of car park location
  • Name of the car park
  • Address including the postcode 

For car parks not currently listed on Parkopedia please provide: 

  • Car park address and postcode
  • Longitude and latitude of entrance and exit
  • Operating hours
  • Maximum stay restrictions
  • Full price list
  • Methods of payment
  • Total number of spaces, including disabled spaces
  • Operator name and contact details
  • Security information (CCTV, lighting, gates, etc)
  • Height restrictions
  • Real-time availability (where available)
  • Any other attributes (e.g. EV charging)

Government request for business intelligence: How is COVID-19 impacting your businesses?

The government is asking businesses to provide updates on impacts across supply, demand and labour markets, actions to address these impacts, and any gaps in the Government response from your perspective. Please send your intelligence to intel@beis.gov.uk. Individual company information may be commercially sensitive, and it will be treated accordingly.

Government is providing £500,000 of funding for technology companies who come up with digital support solutions for people who need to stay at home because of coronavirus. For more information visit techforce19.uk

Government Departments are working closely with ACAS and other partners to provide advice and support for employers and employees on the challenges surrounding CV19. As such ACAS has provided some practical information on coronavirus, which is reviewed daily to give the most recent updates and common-sense advice. It contains detailed info on social distancing and vulnerable workers, updates on working from home, school closures, mental health, lay-offs and short-time working, as well as advice for employers who have to close workplaces temporarily.

The Government is also running some additional live support designed to help at this difficult time.

  • Coronavirus webinar for employers - Multiple dates are available. Register here to attend. This free webinar will provide practical advice for employers to help manage the impact of Coronavirus in the workplace.
