Please join us for a decadent evening of celebration and entertainment at our annual Members' Dinner on Wednesday 21 November in London. We are delighted to announce that this year's event will take place at the stunning The Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden.

As always, we have a very special guest this year as our after-dinner speaker and we have ensured you are in safe hands! During his career, our guest represented England for 20 years and has made more Wembley appearances than any other player.

Perry McCarthy - The Original Stig entertaining guests

Another year, another fantastic Members’ Dinner. Plaisterers’ Hall was a wonderful backdrop to a glamorous evening full of fun, laughter, brilliant food and a hoot of a guest speaker. There was a wonderful buzz throughout the evening and a fair few got into the swing of the theme – masquerade.

Our President Peter Lowe treated us to a well-versed speech, highlighting his focuses for the duration of his term, which will be reaching out to Members and Stakeholders and improving consistency across the parking profession, raising highlighted areas where improvements are possible. Peter also announced the winner of the Ernest Davies Award. Paul Caddy of Phoenix Commercial Collections took the accolade this year with his article entitled Calling all Enforcement Agents.

Peter also commemorated the life and work of Michael Robinson of Portsmouth City Council.  As many of you will know, Michael, sadly passed away early 2017. He was a dedicated parking professional, who contributed enthusiastically and proactively to the Parking Sector.

Our guest speaker Perry McCarthy certainly didn’t disappoint as he chronicled his career on the formula one circuit with great wit and charm. He concluded his speech with taking some questions from the audience, much to our delight. Whilst we could not get him in a mask, we let him off given that he has worn one for a large part of his career!

We also kept Marie Curie at the forefront of our thoughts on the evening, with Kelvin sporting a waistcoat adorned with Daffodils. Guests gave very generously and a total of £1,580.40 was raised on the night. This will help Marie Curie to provide 75 hours of nursing care.

A range of photographs of the event are now available to view and order online from Smile Photography, here. Photographs taken at tables are also available on request. Please contact Nick Dawson at Smile Photography if you would like to enquire about the photographs.
