How to join
BPA membership is open to companies and organisations across the UK involved in parking. If you are an individual looking for recognition of your experience in the parking industry, and support in your on-going professional development, you can join the
Institute of Parking Professionals. To join the Association as a corporate member:
- Fill in the application form.
- Read the professional code of conduct and sign the declaration section of the form.
- Return the form with your payment or direct debit details to the address below.
- If your organisation operates clamping or ticketing on private land, you will need to sign up to the Approved Operator Scheme. Further information on the scheme can be found here.
To pay by direct debit download the form here. This should be sent with your application form.

There is no joining fee. All fees are payable annually in advance.
Membership classification
TYPE
PUBLIC SECTOR: includes all local authorities, government agencies and other public sector nonprofit organisations such as health authorities, universities, police, etc.
COMMERCIAL: Generally all companies and partnerships covered by the Companies Act and generally managed for profit.
OVERSEAS: Individuals or organisations resident outside the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
SOLE TRADER: An individual or sole trader business is one that is owned and run by one person. Proof of Sole Trader status will be required.
SCALE
COMMERCIAL
- Small: turnover less than £250k in the latest full financial year
- Standard: turnover between £250k and £1m in the latest financial year
- Medium: turnover between £1m and £5m in the latest full financial year
- Large: turnover between £5m and £20m in the latest full financial year
- National: turnover in excess of £20m in the latest full financial year
PUBLIC SECTOR
- Small: turnover less than £1m in the latest full financial year
- Standard: turnover between £1m and £5m in the latest full financial year
- Medium: turnover between £5m and £20m in the
