The BPA have finally achieved recognition and accreditation from Ofqual for the new Level 3 Award in Notice Processing, a qualification for which there is huge demand across the parking
Developed by City & Guilds with a panel of experts from the parking sector, the qualification covers notice processing on a general level, as well pathways for the specifics of the function for private and public land. Candidates can achieve a full qualification by following one of the pathways or, if desired, may take both options to gain a well rounded knowledge of this highly technical area.
This qualification sits on the new Qualification and Credit Framework (QCF) – a national framework which has been designed to allow people to gain credit for their learning in bite-sized chunks, or units.
Learning providers will soon start to market this qualification to the sector, so if your organisation uses a regular provider for qualifications it would be worthwhile talking to them to see what their plans are. Providers wishing to offer this qualification must be approved by City & Guilds, a process which involves a thorough check on the quality of delivery and assessment, so you can be confident in the quality of the training and assessment being offered. There are already a number of City & Guilds approved centres for parking qualifications and you can search their website for a provider near you.
Take a look at their website at www.cityandguilds.com for more information on this and other parking specific qualifications.
