Model Contract




The contract is one of the many BPA initiatives aimed at raising standards in the parking industry. In particular the model contract is part of a series of initiatives designed to improve the standard of delivery of Civil Parking Enforcement across the country. 


What is it?


A contract designed for local authorities who appoint service providers to manage their on-street parking.  The aim of designing a model contract that can be adopted nationwide is to:


How has it been created?


The BPA, the Department of Transport, local authorities and service providers have worked together to produce the model contract. The contract has been through a period of consultation with the industry and amendments have been assimilated into the finished product.

What is the cost?


The cost is £500 for BPA members (£950 for non-members) for each year the contract is in use.  For example, for a three year contract, BPA members would pay £500 x 3 = £1,500 (non-member would pay £2,850).

The contract will be provided both as a paper copy and in PDF format on disc which will also include the other material.  Income generated will be reinvested in updating and refining the contract from time to time.
