It is time to start thinking about the next biennial Convention organised by the Parking Association of Australia. The event will be held in Sydney’s Convention & Exhibition Centre between 7th and 9th of November 2010 and is shaping up to be our biggest ever event.
We are in the process of finalising a very exciting program of speakers – both local and international – and are proud to announce that the Key Note Speaker will be none other than Professor Donald Shoup of UCLA, author of the best seller “The High Cost of Free Parking”. Don will also be joined from the USA by Barbara Chance of Chance Management Advisors in Philadelphia, Muriel Hugosson from Sweden and Millie Yang from China. Their topics will be of particular interest to universities, airports, the property industry and local government. Specific issues will be addressed in various forums by specialists from Australia and New Zealand in design, enforcement, reservation systems, ANPR and security. See the “At a glance program” at www.apc2010.com.au.
The exhibition, comprising approximately 60 booths is already all but sold and we are in the process of identifying additional locations for more exhibition space to satisfy the strong demand from suppliers of products and services. This is a great cost effective opportunity for overseas suppliers looking to enter the Australian market as we are expecting a participation of upwards of 300 delegates.
Highlights of the Convention include:
For parking fanatics in the northern hemisphere it is a chance to get away from the harsh, short autumn days and enjoy an informative, relaxed time the balm of Sydney’s springtime.

The program will be posted to the website in the next few days so please keep a look out and make sure you register your interest to be kept up-to-date with our monthly ezines.
Early Bird registration, which offers savings on the full registration fee, is now open so take the opportunity of downloading the registration form or just send an application online. All the information relating to how to register, including a variety of accommodation options, all within walking distance of the venue, are on the website. If you are uncertain about anything or need additional information (including domestic or international flights) please send an email to the organisers at:info@apc2010.com.au
We look forward to welcoming you to our City and our Convention.
