Anjna Patel - recognised in the Queen's Honours List

We are delighted to report that BPA Board member, Past President and Sandwell's Principal Parking Officer Anjna Patel has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen's 2017 Birthday Honours List.

Anjna  has led BPA’s Professional Development and Standards Board and worked tirelessly and with passion to deliver its objectives. Her commitment to the sector and to ensuring that parking as a service is professionalised is exemplary and this is a fantastic achievement for Anjna and worthy recognition for her services to the parking profession.

Our association was instrumental in supporting Anjna’s application via the honours process and comes at a time when we are doubling our efforts to change perceptions of the sector and open people's eye's to its positive impact. Anjna's achievement is a great signal of the direction of travel - and something that we shall be celebrating over the coming months.

We are also delighted to see that Caroline Sheppard, Chief Adjudicator of the Traffic Penalty Tribunal has been awarded an OBE for services to motorists.
