London Councils Transport and
Environment Committee (TEC) have recently approved some minor amendments and
additions to the contravention code list version 6.6.
The new approved list for London, version
6.6.1, is now available but must only be used after 1st April 2012.

Please note that this version is only applicable to
London and Wales.
There are no changes to the existing
contravention code descriptions, and no new contravention codes have been
created. The majority of the updates surround suffixes and
include the creation of suffix "4" for virtual
permits. Full details of the amendments can be seen on page 5 of the
document.
It is TEC's belief that English authorities outside
of London can use the lower level descriptions, but should still
use the higher level descriptions as advised in The Civil Enforcement
of Parking Contraventions (Guidelines on Levels of Charges) Order 2007 (SI
3487).
