The National Operators Group consists of informal meetings of the Chief Executives / Managing Directors of the major national operators aimed at discussing broad industry issues in a ‘cross party’ way and agreeing action as appropriate. Where necessary, the Group acts as a forum for lobbying on behalf of the Industry.
Both the Chair and another member are co-opted onto the BPA Council.
The Group informs the BPA of its views on current issues in order to help the Association in its external / communications role on behalf of the parking sector and to give steers to how the BPA can support national operators.
Discussions are confidential and under ‘Chatham House Rules’, although press announcements may be made from time to time and by agreement. Issues are escalated through the Chair to BPA Council, as appropriate.
Typically, three meetings are held annually, each one hosted by one of the companies in turn. The format of each meeting consists of: -
- Presentations on key topics of the moment
- A meeting with Agenda (whole meeting up to 2 hours duration)
Currently the following companies have been invited to attend, through their Chief Executive or Managing Director :
- Euro Car Parks
- National Car Parks Ltd
- Q Park
- Vinci Park
- NSL Services Group
