The Institute of Parking Professionals is an independent body representing individuals engaged in the UK parking and traffic management sector.

How to Join

IPP membership is open to all individual parking professionals, practitioners, students and to those with an interest in related matters and who meet the entry qualifications required by the Institute. The entry requirements relate specifically to skills, qualifications and competence. 

There are four grades of membership:

  • Fellow of the IPP - FIPP
  • Member of the IPP- MIPP
  • Associate Member of the IPP - AMIPP
  • IPP Affiliate Member (no designation)

No person may be admitted as an Associate Member of Affiliate if they are eligible for a higher membership grade. Associate/Affiliate Members should transfer to a higher membership grade when they become eligible.

Membership Fees

Membership fees are dependent on what class of IPP membership you are applying for. Full details can be found within the application form. 

Professional Code of Conduct

By becoming a member of The IPP you are agreeing to adopt the Code of Conduct which governs your personal conduct as an individual member and not necessarily the nature of the business or authority for which you work. It will, therefore, be a matter of a member exercising personal judgment in meeting the Code's requirements.

The Code of Conduct applies to all aspects of the performance of your work. The IPP's Code establishes a code of ethical practice containing guidance on a range of moral and ethical matters as they affect members and relates to professional conduct. The Code’s requirements and supporting guidance demonstrates the IPP’s commitment to upholding and enhancing the good standing of the parking profession.

When applying for membership, please ensure you read the Code of Conduct before signing the declaration on the application form.
