The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018 and everyone will be affected by the most important change in data privacy law for twenty years.

GDPR has an impact on the capture, use and retention of person data, covering the same right for individuals as the Data Protection Act but with some significant enhancements.

The BPA are running three special events to give practical support to both public and private sector members and to help them ensure their policies and processes are compliant with the new regulations.

Following a guidance update from the Information Commissioners Office (ICO), which is due in January 2018, the events are taking place in March 2018.
